As the capital of Yunnan province, Kunming attracts a large number of tourists to its city center, where both modern shopping centers and traditional old streets enmesh together. However, in the past years the Sanshi st. cross point, where most foot trafficks are, is under numerous constructions for the city's public installation. Majority of the public installations are for national holidays and traditional festivals which only last for short amount of duration, but takes months to construct. Dust, noise, and many other inconveiniences from construction have cuased complains and disturbed the locals' enjoyment of the city center. This project aims to explore novel augment-reality guided construction and aggregation of portable elements in order to offer an alternative possibility for public installation.
